Community Groups

Our community groups are small gatherings of 10-15 that meet different days of the week for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. The primary aim of these groups is to provide a place where we can know and care for one another in the way Scripture describes relationships within the church. The Session of Mercy Presbyterian Church  

Presbyterian churches are led and governed by a group of elders called a session.  While we move toward becoming our own congregation, our session is made up of elders from other churches, along with our pastor, Rob Edwards, and Mike Terrell, who was already an elder at Redeemer Presbyterian in Lynchburg.  Until we have elders from our own congregation, our session will be made up of the following men, appointed by Blue Ridge Presbytery:  Rob Edwards, Mike Terrell, Mike Sharrett, Tre Smith, Paul Brandon, Ed Dunnington, and Shawn Slate.  The session is responsible for the ministry of the church and the care of its members.  Do not hesitate to contact us for any reason!
