Our Staff
Rob Edwards, Pastor
Rob moved to Forest with his family in the spring of 2010 to begin working with Mercy Presbyterian Church. The church had been meeting for some time as a second site of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg. As the group in Forest continued to develop, Rob was called to pastor the new congregation.
Previously, Rob and his family were in Athens, Georgia where he was the campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Georgia for 11 years. Rob and his wife, Angie, are both graduates of the University of Georgia. Rob is also a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Rob and Angie have three children: Emma, Lucy, and William.

Amy Corbett, Worship Director
Amy moved to Lynchburg in the spring of 2008 after her husband, Marc, was hired to begin the campus ministry for our denomination, RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) in Lynchburg. Feeling the call to serve in a church plant, the Corbetts began attending Mercy in its initial stages and it wasn't long before Amy was asked to step in and lead the worship team.
Worship directing is no new job for Amy. Previously, the Corbetts lived in Lubbock, Texas, where Marc was the RUF campus minister at Texas Tech and Amy led worship at Providence Presbyterian Church for seven years. Amy holds a degree in music education from the University of North Texas, specializing in violin and viola. She plays in the Lynchburg Symphony as well as many other gigs around the greater Lynchburg area. But as wonderful as music is, it is her husband and daughter, Caroline, who are the real loves of her life.
Kathy Wargo, Administrative AssistantKathy attended Evangelical Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Newark, Delaware, for 50 years before moving to Lynchburg in 2010. Upon learning that they were moving, a friend from Atlanta told Kathy and her husband, Keith, about the new church plant in Forest, so they began attending immediately and loved the sound preaching from Pastor Rob and the Christian fellowship with the people in the church.
Kathy has been active in the PCA, serving as church secretary, children's ministry coordinator, women’s ministry positions for the PCA on the local level, as well as on the national level as a Women’s Advisory Sub-Committee member representing the Northeast region, and Women’s Trustee Advisor on the Board at Covenant College. Currently she is the Event Coordinator for the PCA’s Christian Education & Publications.
Keith and Kathy’s children are married, Kevin and Wendy (who live in Delaware), and Kristen and Ben (who live in Philadelphia).
