Rob moved to Forest with his family in the spring of 2010 to begin working with Mercy Presbyterian Church. The church had been meeting for some time as a second site of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg. As the group in Forest continued to develop, Rob was called to pastor the new congregation.
Previously, Rob and his family were in Athens, Georgia where he was the campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Georgia for 11 years. Rob and his wife, Angie, are both graduates of the University of Georgia. Rob is also a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Rob and Angie have three children: Emma, Lucy, and William.

Nate Fowler spent his first ten years of life as a missionary kid in the jungles and cities of Ecuador, South America. In 2003 his family was called to the opposite climate in Hamden, Maine where the Lord called Nate to music ministry, leading chapel services at his small Christian schools and at his church youth group. From 2010-2014 Nate attended Liberty University, all the while leading music for Reformed University Fellowship, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Studies. He started attending Mercy in 2011, carpooling with his good friend Will Wingate, and has been on the music team at Mercy ever since. In 2015 he and his beautiful wife, Katie, married, and she often serves on the music team as well. It is with great pleasure he enters this position as Director of Music Ministries, as Mercy has been their family through these last couple of phases of life and hopefully a few to come.
