Sunday School
Sunday School is offered for all ages from 9:45 – 10:45am.*
As with every avenue of ministry at Mercy, the Sunday School hour is an opportunity to both gather and equip. As an opportunity to gather, relationships are deepened and we also learn from one another. As an opportunity to equip, this time allows us to focus on a wide variety of biblical, theological, and practical matters in a systematic way over a course of years.
Everyone is welcomed to these classes, and we encourage families to consider this ministry as an opportunity for you and your children to grow in knowledge and understanding of the gospel.
*Sunday School breaks for the summer, as well as a few weeks in the winter and one-Sunday breaks intermittently. See calendar below.

Our children’s Sunday School classes begin at age 2 and progress through material from Great Commissions Publications.
Register YOUR CHILD
If you have children from age 2 through 5th grade, please complete this registration form for each child. This will allow us to plan our class rosters and be prepared to serve your children right from the first day.

Overview of Isaiah

Isaiah has as many chapters as books in the Bible, is quoted extensively, and is the source of images that illustrate the whole Bible. Isaiah does all this and more, using profound style and depth that challenges the modern reader! Then how do we approach this book succinctly and constructively? Our overview will consider the broad narrative and themes of this magnificent document. We will walk in the shoes of his immediate audience to relish its poignancy and relevance, as well as look back to see how Isaiah has mapped out the course of history from God’s perspective for our instruction and our good.

Hillel the Elder, the 1st century BC rabbi who significantly contributed to the formation of the Jewish Mishnah and Talmud, famously remarked that “whosoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved the entire world.” Although the name of God never appears in the Book of Esther, His saving presence is powerfully at work through the actions of his servants, Esther and Mordecai, who respond to God’s call and are used by Him “for such a time as this” to rescue His people from destruction. In so doing, they powerfully prefigure Christ’s unwavering obedience to God’s will and costly deliverance of His people.
